AP=Advanced Playtime
Play with the Circuit simulator above.
  • describe the construction of your circuit and values in a post
  •  see if you can follow someone's recipe and get the same results

    1. The circuit consists of 3 light bulbs 2 batteries and 1 switch. The way it works is that if the switch is open and allows a current to pass through then batteries a and b work together to power the two light bulbs on the outside perimeter and because all voltage is used up no power goes to light bulb C. When the switch is closed then battery a operates alone to power both light bulbs B, and C each at half the amps.

  2. Using resistors that slow the flow of electrions and 3 different settings, I made a light with 3 brightness settings. On a lightbulb on the connection I have 3 wires. A B C. A has a wire to a switch to a wire to a set of 3 batteries in series then back to the other terminal on the lightbulb. B has a resistor connected to the light, then a wire to a switch a wire going to the batteries and back to the other terminal on the lightbulb. C is the same as B with TWO resistors. By creating more resistance each time, the lightbulb has 3 options for flow of electrions. A "fast", "medium", and "slow"! Still not as cool as a clap light though.

  3. I'm trying to use the simulator for the use of the labs but I am unable to open it or download.
