  1. I have two problems, I decided to start this assignment but i didn't realize you made the deadline for 11:00PM and I started it at 11:01.... is this detrimental to the assignment? Also these questions seem so simple and I seem to be struggling so much on a few of them which honestly confuses me. I thought we always said speed=velocity and I distinctly remember writing that phrase on my quizes and tests, but on a few problems that dealt with both speed and velocity, they were wrong. I would choose the answers that were like speed=5 I assumed velocity= 5 so I chose the answer that said "speed=5 and velocity=5, but I got it wrong because apparently the velocity was 0 which makes no sense because speed=velocity and the equations for both are the same, d/t. So it makes no sense that the answers keep saying they are different.

  2. Velocity is a vector and speed is a scalar. Velocity is aware of the direction that the object is moving.
    Example:
A train moved 55 miles north in one hour. What is its velocity?
    55 miles/hour north.
Speed doesn't keep track of direction.

  3. Okay I don't really have any questions, but I have a couple key ideas. First off, I am digging this website. It's easier to use now, and it makes me actually somewhat enjoy homework. Best of all, I think it'll really keep everyone honest. You'll be able to see whether or not we're trying because our answer attempts will signal either that, or that we actually have a problem with the material. I know I won't be BSing my work, because if I do, it'll be very apparent. Also, I know I was making fun of the whole confidence thing that the website promotes, but when I get an answer right, I actually feel great about myself. On the other hand, when I get a question wrong, I immediately look at where I may have messed up, and I've been able to easily pinpoint my errors. This site is a very good tool for us, I believe.

  4. Also it would help if we went over the definition of Free Fall with respect to Question #1 on the third quiz. I thought the answer could also be 'E'. I understand the definition, but I am still confused with that problem. Honestly, a complete review of the third quiz would be great.
